
The Atlantic Coast Conference (ACC) Leadership Symposium is a three-day leadership conference for students to engage with peers across the ACC. Participants will learn and connect with one another leadership training, educational sessions, and networking opportunities.
The symposium, funded by a portion of the ACC football championship game’s revenue and hosted on a rotating basis within the ACC, emphasizes engaging students from all ACC institutions in leadership development.
This year, the ACC Leadership Symposium was hosted at Virginia Tech University from Friday, Feb. 6 – Sunday, Feb. 8. All expenses were covered for conference attendance for selected students (flight, lodging, meals, transportation to/from airport).
Theme: “Grounded in Growth, Strengthened Through Change” Key Learning Objectives:
- Expand understanding of leadership identity and Clifton Strengths
- Explore new approaches to navigating adversity in leadership contexts
- Understand where we came from and what we overcame to better understand our current selves
- Develop strategies to advocate alongside others experiencing adversity.
- Supporting leadership identity and development in others.
